Iza Moszczeńska's note about Polska Macierz Szkolna, manuscript and copy

The memoirs of Iza Moszczeńska-Rzepecka (1864-1941) belong to the heritage of her daughter, Dr. Hanna Pohoska. The first part of the memoirs was given to the Library in 1955 by Jan Rzepecki, and the second part was given by Maria Wierzbicka in 1958.
The introduction explains how this memoirs were created: the circumstances and stages of development. During 1945-1948, Hanna Pohoska prepared her work for publication by the Ossolineum publisher, but it was not published because of political reasons. Many researchers and scholars of recent Polish history have been able to use this manuscript at the Warsaw University Library. Because the condition of the memoirs is so poor, our decision to digitalize was crucial.
This CD-ROM contains manuscripts and typescripts throughout many years. Some parts have had two editions, which is reflected on the CD-ROM. A catalogue card with the title, microfilm number, collation, and publication information is placed before each chapter.
